Storas Ulbha – Administrator Vacancy

NWMCWC Ltd are looking for an administrator to support the project team to deliver the Storas Ulbha project. You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective administration service to the Project Manager and the Education & Marketing Officer, and also lead on grant claims, reporting and financial management of the project.

The contracted hours are 15 per week with a salary of between £7200 – £8000.

The position is initially based in the company office in Dervaig but will be located on Ulva as office space becomes available. During C19 you are expected to be able to work from home and have a broadband & telephone connection.

Requirements

  • Office administration and support
  • Basic financial management including data management, ideally with some grant claim funding experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working with small remote communities especially with reference to the need for good personal skills and need for confidentiality and discretion
  • Experience in arranging meetings and events

Covid-19 Local Resilience Fund

Mull & Iona Covid-19 Local Resilience Fund

NWMCWC are working with partner organisations to distribute a local resilience fund as detailed below. Please email wendy@nwmullwoodland.co.uk for further info.

HIE invited Mull and Iona Community Trust, South West Mull and Iona Development, North West Mull Community Woodland Company and Tobermory Harbour Association to submit a joint bid to the Supporting Communities Fund on behalf of the communities of Mull, Iona and Ulva. HIE has awarded a grant of £50,000 to support C-19 related activities like:

Provision of essential supplies and medication to the communities of Mull, Iona and Ulva
Provision of online and digital measures to combat isolation and loneliness
Provision of measures to combat fuel and food poverty
Provision of PPE

The Fund is open to any constituted community group within Mull, Iona and Ulva that has a bank account in its own name requiring 2 or more signatories. If you are not a constituted group and do not have a bank account, you could still apply under the umbrella of another constituted group. E.G. your local village hall committee, MICT, NWMCWC, THA, IVHCT or SWMID. You will need to agree with the other group before submitting your application.
